The One Health Symposium, organized by AFROHUN Uganda, is a pivotal event scheduled for August 29, 2024. About AFROHUN Uganda

AFROHUN Uganda is a key chapter of the Africa One Health University Network, dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary approaches to complex health challenges through the One Health approach. Our mission is to advance education, training, research, and community service to address zoonotic diseases and other health threats. We facilitate collaboration among universities, research institutions, and stakeholders to build resilient public health systems capable of preventing, detecting, and responding to infectious disease threats. Our initiatives include digital learning, knowledge transfer, and capacity-building to enhance global health security.

The Academy offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes Mentored Experiential Learning and Training (MELT) programs, digital learning modules, and collaborative research opportunities. It aims to build a skilled workforce capable of addressing complex health challenges at the human-animal-environment interface. Through partnerships with academic institutions and stakeholders, the Academy fosters innovation and practical solutions for global health security.
