Ethiopia
Ethiopia is a landlocked country in the Horn of Africa that is split by the Great Rift Valley. Health in Ethiopia has improved markedly since the early 2000s, with government leadership playing a key role in mobilizing resources and ensuring that they are used effectively.
OHCEA Ethiopia is advocating for One Health across institutions within the country. By aligning itself with the goals of the One Health Workforce project, and the GHSA and JEE, it has conducted a series of capacity building activities through pre-service and in-service strategies to develop the One Health workforce in the country. OHCEA Ethiopia institutions are also promoting multidisciplinary research to address complex challenges at the human-animal-ecosystem interface.
